Clean Head System

Clean Head System (PAT.)

The Clean Head System prevents internal contaminations
caused by rotor and water line suction and improves instruments life time.

Clean Head System consists of unique lamels around the bur chuck.
When the handpiece is running those quick rotating lamels throw all micro particles out preventing internal contamination and increasing the bearings life.
This is most important with high speed turbines. When the dentist stops drilling the rotor still runs a while and changes to a pump drawing external microparticles into the handpiece.
NSK:s patented Clean Head System prevents this totally.

The second part of Clean Head System is preventing back suction caused by water line after the dirilling is finished. This problem is solved by placing a special valve inside the instrument coupling. (Red in the picture).

The same patented mechanism has been incorporated also in IS series low speed instruments, straight handpieces as well as technical handpieces.

In case of technical handpieces/motors we speek it as Dust Proof mechanism, wich prevents any dust caused by grinding to destroy bur chuck or bearings. Thus extending the instrument lifetime.

The Clean Head System
As demontrated in International Dental Show

2001 27.- 31.March in Cologne, Germany
Contra-angle and straight handpieces as well as ULTIMATE technical micromotor were continuously running under colored water representing dust proof and microinvasion free mechanism of NSK's patented Clean Head System.
Dental turbine Mach Lite II with same Clean Head System was continuously running in 5 seconds periods. Transparent tubings represented clearly the real functionality of this system preventing both back suction of turbine rotor and back suction of water cooling.
Can you find any other manufacturer that allows you to handle their handpieces like that?
