SURGICAL HANDPIECES
Surgical handpieces standard
Surgical handpieces fitted with a Torque Limitter (Safety Mechanism)
The incorporation of a torque limiter provides advanced safety effects. If a
fixed torque level
(45 Ncm) is applied to the screw tap or screw implant, the handpiece switches
to idle mode
so that a power level higher than this value is not transmitted.
Further, ossein can cause the torque to exeed 50 Ncm during screw-tap or screw-implant
surgery, creating a risk of damage to either the screw tap or screw implant,
or to the reducyion gear in the handpiece. Such occurrences necissitate an interruption
of the surgical procedure. These handpieces with built-in torque limiter have
been designed to prevent such occurrences
by only allowing torque up to a fixed level.
SGA-E / SGS-E have been developed especially for oral surgery and ENT
surgery.
The design of the handpieces ensures that no vibration or spindle run-out occurs,
despite
high-speed revolution. The Clean Head System gives the handpieces extended life.
The handpiece is built to withstand repeated autoclaving at 135 degrees of celcius.
