After much experimentation and testing, Titanium was selected as the material of choice for NSK's new Ti-Max series handpieces.
Titanium is lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, which makes it a significant material for the Aeroscape industry, nuclear power plants, and many other industrial applications where metal must hold up under extreme conditions.
Due to complicated and costly procedures to process Titanium, its applications are limited. NSK's advanced cutting and processing technology, accumulated over years of manufacturing experience, has produced the worlds first all-Titanium dental handpiece body. Weight and balance are ideal for the practioner

The nature of Titanium allows for a firm, factile grip even through gloves. Using Titanium allows us to manufacture handpiece that are lighter in weight, yet stronger than other handpieces on the market. Lighter than stainless steel, the titanium body, combined with expectional balance, results in a handpiece that will greatly reduce hand and wrist fatique caused by prolonged and complex surgical procedures. Heat-processing strenghtnes the Titanium, which protects the interior of the handpiece from being damaged when dropped.

Excellent corrosion resistance

Titanium has excellent resistance to corrosion caused by acidity and alkalinity, so it's appearance will not decay, even when exposed to the chemicals used in dental operatories. The metal also holds up extraordinary well to the heat of the autoclave, leaving your handpieces looking brand new for years.

Human-friendly and eco-friendly material

Titanium is the least allergenic metal in nature, equivalent to platinum, making the Ti-Max a very Human-friendly handpiece. And when the time finally comes to retire your Ti-Max handpiece, Titanium is fully recyclable, which makes it one of the most eco-friendly handpieces in the world today!
